What a Difference a Year Makes

I started this blog a year ago, right after I found out I was pregnant. Since then, I've started a daycare, however I don't have any kiddos to watch this week, so I'm trying to get caught up on a a few things. I've considered taking Emily to have her picture made, but I can't really justify spending the money whenever I can take decent pictures. Opinions on that?

Emily is growing so fast, she goes to the doctor for her 4-month visit this week and we will ask about starting solid foods. She can sit up with help and loves to laugh and play. Here are some pictures we've taken the last couple days. I think I got some video of her playing the last few days too I may try to get up later.
Mom, what are you doing?
See how big I'm getting, I can hold my head way up high!

Is it just me or does she look like she's up to something?

She was talking...she does that a lot these days! Once she figures out words, it may never be quiet again!

My daddy is so funny! I just have to laugh at him all the time.

Daddy's girl

Emily is Daddy's girl a lot of times. She usually gets up and plays with him while he is getting ready for work and then she wants him when he comes home in the evenings. Kendall and I went after pizza the other day and found them both asleep on the couch when we got home. Meanwhile Grandma and Grandpa's computer is sick so Kendall checks their email for them:)

Thanks for the Valentines

Emily got a froggy dress from Grandma and Grandpa that Grandma made for her for Valentines.

She also got a shirt that said my first Valentines and a Valentine puppy from Aunt Tara. (she's wearing it in this video, but the funny part is her laughing!)

and here is her with her puppy

Emily tried some cupcake icing last night. It was funny, although there was definitely more got on her than in her. Here's the video.

In God's Time

Ok, so I've been accused of being impatient before. And I have been impatient once again. I actually made myself sick thinking about leaving my little girl and going back to work, and then I decided I would quit worrying about it and leave it in God's hands. Then I worried about it, then I prayed about it, for the last two months its been an ongoing dilemma. I knew God said ask and it shall be given, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be opened. But He never said it would be easy or opened immediately. But yesterday, while praying my phone would ring with the call I'd been hoping for, confirmation of two more kids for daycare starting next week, it rang. I now have three kids to watch full time and three is that magic number we've been hoping for. I have 3 more starting this summer too, so its all going to work out. I just wanted to thank everyone that has been praying for me. I'm so excited to get to stay home with little Emily! And I've learned something already watching two little girls this week...princesses cannot kiss the prince unless they have properly applied their lipstick:)

A new game

Here is the new game Emily learned over the weekend.
